Glen Cove Fall E-Waste Day Collects 7.8 Tons of Electronics and Shreds 5,200 Pounds of Paper

September 27, 2017, Glen Cove, NY…   . Over 350 residents safety disposed of televisions, computers, electronic equipment and excess paper during the Glen Cove Department of Public Works biannual E-Waste fall collection and paper shredding program.  “It’s great to see the enthusiasm for the city’s recycling programs which is validated by the tonnage of electronics, pollutants, recyclable items and paper that is collected each year,” said Mayor Spinello. “We thank everyone who participated in our E-Waste and Shredding event as all of us play an important role in creating a greener Glen Cove,” added Stephanie Soter, Glen Cove Public Works Recycling Coordinator.
