Residents/Businesses Impacted by Hurricane Ida

If your household was impacted by the Remnants of Hurricane Ida, you can now apply for disaster assistance, including but not limited to home repairs, temporary housing, low-cost loans, and other programs to help recover.  You can apply to this program by going to www.disasterassistance.gov, entering your zip code and clicking on “Nassau County”, or by calling 800-621-3362.  If your business was impacted, you can now apply to the Small Business Administration’s Disaster Loans by going to disasterloanassistance.sba.gov or by calling (800) 659-2955.  Disaster Loans help to repair or replace disaster-damaged property, as well as help businesses meet their ordinary and necessary financial obligations that cannot be met as a direct result of the disaster.

  

Individual Assistance

Homeowners and renters can now apply to the Individual Assistance program by going to www.disasterassistance.gov or by calling (800) 621-3362.  Individual Assistance is a program that assists households that have been impacted by Ida.  Assistance may include grants to help pay for temporary housing, emergency home repairs for the primary residence, uninsured and underinsured personal property losses and medical and dental expenses caused by the disaster, along with other serious disaster-related expenses.

 

Disaster Loans for Businesses

Business owners can now apply for Disaster Loans by going to disasterloanassistance.sba.gov or by calling (800) 659-2955.  Disaster Loans help to repair or replace disaster-damaged property, as well as help businesses meet their ordinary and necessary financial obligations that cannot be met as a direct result of the disaster.
