Veterans Services helps U.S. veterans and their family members find their way through the diverse Federal and State programs that offer vital benefits and assistance to former servicemen and servicewomen.

Glen Cove is proud to be one of over 900 designated Purple Heart Cities across the U.S., honoring the sacrifices made by military personnel injured or killed while defending our freedom. Established in 1782 by General George Washington, the Purple Heart is the oldest military decoration in the United States, with over 1.8 million awarded to date. For more information, please visit https://www.purpleheart.org/.

Our community shows its respect and gratitude with two dedicated parking spots for wounded combat veterans—one at Morgan Memorial Park and another at Glen Cove Golf Course. Additionally, our Office of Veterans Affairs works to support our veterans and their families with the resources they need. Let us all remember and honor the service members who have sacrificed so much for our country.
