Planning a garage sale in Glen Cove? Be sure to follow the city's guidelines to ensure a smooth and legal sale! A garage sale permit is required and must be obtained at least one week prior to your sale date. You can apply online [HERE] or request an application by calling the City Clerk’s Office at 516-676-3345 to have one mailed to you.
Permits are $15 and are valid for two consecutive days, with the option to list rain dates. Keep in mind that only one sale is allowed every six months per property.
Important Reminder: Posting garage sale signs on public property is strictly prohibited and can result in a $250 fine. Be sure to keep signage on private property only.
