Join the Glen Cove workforce and become an important part of this community. The City accepts applications for a variety of positions continually throughout the year. Civil Service exams are also held year-round to provide competition for positions based on the relative merit and fitness of the candidates. Glen Cove values diversity, and all are encouraged to apply!
Our originally scheduled launch date of June 4th, 2020 was postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic. However, Mayor Tenke remains committed to the start of commuter Ferry service between Glen Cove and Manhattan. This service will offer commuters a competitively priced, open air and stress-free option for their daily commute. We continue to work with Hornblower (our ferry operator) as we prepare to commence service safely and according to the Governor’s Guidelines. We look forward to this next exciting step in the transformation of Garvies Point and our City’s waterfront.
Glen Cove offers an eclectic range of activities, programs and events along with restaurants, cafés and breweries to entertain, challenge and nourish your body, mind and soul. The City offers Pickle ball, Bocce, basketball and tennis courts along with our baseball, soccer, basketball and junior football leagues for children. We can't forget our public golf course, three beaches, parks, children’s playgrounds, and two dog parks that round out our recreational offerings!
