The Glen Cove Volunteer Fire Department has proudly served and protected the residents of Glen Cove since 1837. Staffed entirely by volunteers, the department provides fire protection and fire safety education to the community.

In addition to responding to emergencies, the department promotes fire prevention and public safety education. Each October, the department hosts an open house featuring hands-on activities that teach children important fire safety and evacuation procedures.

The City of Glen Cove Volunteer Fire Department provides our residents with unparalleled fire protection and firematic education. In October of each year, the fire department sponsors an open house with special “hands-on” learning events that teach children important safety guidelines to prevent fires or to evacuate in the event of a fire.
