Help make Glen Cove even more beautiful by volunteering with our Beautification Committee! We’re looking for motivated individuals who are passionate about the environment, gardening, and improving our community. Whether you have a green thumb, are an environmental enthusiast, or just want to lend a hand, we’d love to have you on our team!
The Glen Cove Beautification Commission’s Philosophy and Guiding Principles:
- Empower individuals to take greater responsibility and action to enhance their community’s environment.
- Educate individuals on litter prevention and ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle waste materials.
- Motivate volunteers to clean up, beautify, and improve their neighborhoods through partnerships and strategic alliances with residents, businesses, and government.
- Work toward creating a healthier, safer, and more livable community.

Beach cleanups
Tulip planting
Tree planting
Litter cleanup in area parks

By participating, students can also earn community service hours while making a difference in Glen Cove.
How You Can Get Involved:
We need volunteers to help with these important efforts. Meetings are held approximately once a month for about 1.5 hours, but we welcome any time you can contribute. Whether you attend every meeting or just pitch in on a project, your help is invaluable!
