The Glen Cove Beautification Commission’s philosophy and guiding principles are to:

• Empower individuals to take greater responsibility and action to enhance their community’s environment.
• Educate individuals regarding litter prevention, ways to reduce, reuse and recycle waste materials.
• Motivate volunteers to cleanup, beautify and improve their neighborhoods through partnerships and strategic alliances with residents, businesses and government.
• The creation a healthier, safer and more livable community.
