Marvin Floyd and Friends headline Morgan Park Summer Music Festival on Sunday, August 18th! The free performance begins at 7 p.m. in Morgan Park and is sponsored by Golden Benefactors.
Drawing from the 50’s, 60’s and through the 70’s and 80’s, Glen Cove’s own Marvin Floyd, the noted keyboardist, composer, and producer, and his group perform many of the classics of soul music made famous by such artists as Sam Cooke, Chuck Berry, Frankie Lymon, Ray Charles, James Brown, Marvin Gaye, Barry White, Michael Jackson, Prince and many others. Appearing with Floyd are Keith Alexander, Will Floyd, Michael Fashion and Wayne Reddick. Expect to hear all your favorites!
