🌲 Help Us Find the Perfect Tree! 🌲
The City of Glen Cove is looking for a locally grown tree, approximately 25-30 feet in height, to be the centerpiece of our Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony this December. The tree will be removed at no cost to the property owner, but it must be clear of power lines and located near Glen Cove.
Families that generously donate trees from the Glen Cove area enable this special City tradition. These trees will be the centerpieces that people gather around at the Village Square to celebrate this holiday season and share its values of joy, peace, and unity.
Event Details:
- Date: Saturday, December 7, 2024
- Time: Tree Lighting at 4:45 PM, as part of the Downtown BID’s Holiday Festival (1:30 PM – 5:00 PM)
- Location: Village Square, Glen Cove, NY
- Activities: Free horse and carriage rides, photos with Santa, live music, and a hot cocoa bar
Donating a tree is a special honor, with the chosen tree proudly displayed in the heart of Glen Cove, spreading cheer to all residents and visitors.
