ROAD WORK ALERT

The City of Glen Cove’s contractor, United Paving Corp., will begin work next week as part of the 2026 Road Paving Program on the following streets:

• Westland Drive, from Southland Drive to Shell Drive

• Carlyle Drive

• Ellen Court

• Woolsey Avenue, from Red Spring Lane to Westfield Place

Work will include roadway, sidewalk and curb improvements at various locations along these streets.

Every effort will be made to minimize disruptions to residents. Any lawns disturbed by construction operations will be restored as soon as practical.

United Paving Corp. will contact affected property owners directly with additional information regarding the work.

Please use caution when traveling through active work areas and follow all posted signs and directions.

Emergency Alert 09-25-2026: BEACH CLOSURE ALERT Due to the impending storm, all City of Glen Cove beaches will close today, Friday, September 25, beginning at 5:00 PM. The beaches will remain closed on Saturday and are expected to reopen on Sunday once the storm has passed and conditions are safe. Please use caution and avoid beach areas during the storm.
