Power Outage Alert – Glen Cove
A transformer has blown, causing a power outage affecting parts of the city. Glen Cove Police Department and crews from PSEG Long Island are on scene and actively assessing the damage.

At this time, approximately 463 customers are affected, with an estimated restoration time of 1:15 PM.

Emergency Alert 09-25-2026: BEACH CLOSURE ALERT Due to the impending storm, all City of Glen Cove beaches will close today, Friday, September 25, beginning at 5:00 PM. The beaches will remain closed on Saturday and are expected to reopen on Sunday once the storm has passed and conditions are safe. Please use caution and avoid beach areas during the storm.
